Dear Members and Friends of Yulee United Methodist Church.
Thank You for your patience during this time of sequestering and being away from on-site worship. I pray that everyone is doing well.
The Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, along with the CDC, The State of Florida, and Nassau County, have all provided guidelines for churches to implement In-Person worship and ministry during this time. By following these guidelines we can hold on-site worship.
Our local YUMC Task Force has been working hard to prepare for safe on-site worship. By using the social distancing guidelines of 6 feet between households, we have calculated that our sanctuary space will only provide approx 30 households per worship. This number does not include Worship Leaders or Worship Servants.
Please read over the guidelines below that we must follow. If you do not feel well, please do not come to worship. Let us know so we can put you on our prayer list.
Each Household must reserve a place in worship.

through the fellowship hall, and exit the Sanctuary by the

Greetings in the Name of the Lord God our Savior,
As you may or may not know, I have just spent the last 6 weeks in East Africa. Although this is completely out of character for me, due to recent devastating events, I am reaching out to my church family as I desperately need your help.
I am the owner of a restaurant called "Hotel Kaleche", which is located in the village of Nguluni, Kenya, East Africa. Hotel Kaleche is more than just a restaurant; it's a ministry in which we feed many people from surrounding villages. It was started almost 9 years ago and, by the grace of God, we have been holding our own since that time.
Recently, however, due to a dishonest building owner, we have fallen into a serious financial crisis. Without our knowledge, he sold the building in June and continued charging us rent. On the evening of 11 August 2021, we were completely blind sighted by the new owners of the building. They came into the restaurant one hour before closing and informed us that we had to vacate the premises immediately. This was the first time we heard of anything about the sale, causing us to have to close our business and my employees were left with no job...no income...no livelihood.
My goal is to build on our own property and secure enough supplies and food so that we can become completely self-sufficient. In order to do this, we must raise approximately $5,000, which will be enough to sustain and help us to realize our goal.
Hotel Kaleche has helped me put many children through school and allowed me to purchase medicine for many of the elderly in the village. It has provided countless meals over the years for many of the homeless/orphaned children and elderly in our village. Even though our restaurant is not very large, we have also provided a few people with something that is very hard to come by in the village - a job.
We do not want to lose our ministry - our only source of livelihood - so we are asking for your help in this grave situation. We would truly appreciate any financial assistance you can give us and we ask that you keep us in your prayers.
I have enclosed as list of immediate needs and have broken it down into small amounts. No amount is too great or too small. Also, if anyone just wants to make a donation in general, it will truly be welcomed. We know God is able for He has brought us this far. We thank you, in advance, for your generosity. May God bless you and yours from now until the end of time.
Again, thank you so much, church family, for your consideration in this matter.
